Holistic therapy treats the person as a whole with the belief that there is communication between the mind and body. It emphasizes the individual's active participation in their own health and wellness through lifestyle choices such as exercise, relaxation and stress management techniques.
Chronic stress by its very nature is a physiological condition brought about by prolonged psychological influences. In essence the mind affecting the body. That is why the Let Go! holistic approach to stress busting and relaxation has proved to be so effective. It combats the negative effects of stress by exercising the body and relaxing the mind, in effect reducing the hormones responsible for stress.
Within the workshop participants are guided through simple circuit and Boxercise® routines. Hitting something (not someone !) is a great way of releasing pent up tension brought about by stress. Everyone gets to have a go in a safe and controlled way. All exercises are discussed and easy to follow routines are made available to use within an office or home based environment.
Group based hypnosis is also demonstrated and its effects at reducing stress are measured.Self hypnosis is then taught to all participants so that the techniques learned in the workshop can be then be recreated in the office or home.
